Here is a bit of what we do at Roydvale i to get a bit of a taste of the Opportunities this might give you
Who are your coaches and are they awesome?
Yes, of course and that's why we want to share our grounds and coaches with you - Roydvale generally uses paid professional coaches for teaching everyone from our under 10's up. Our head coach is Erika Oudshoorn (from EquiTrain), Debbie Nelson-Love (and Coach2Go) are just a couple of our regulars. We also work with a pool of coaches PLUS regularly have guest/specialist coaches. If you have a coach you love, let us know - we are always keen to increase our coaching pool.
Can you use the grounds outside of Rallies?
Yes - you can come and train whenever our grounds are open (they are generally only closed a week or so before our big events). Bring your own coach and train whenever you like. You as the Member can bring as many horses to train as you like, but additional riders will need to pay a ground fee ($15-day).
Are the Rally sessions always ridden?
No - we have a lot of sessions outside ridden rallies or unmounted sessions incorporated into rallies to give riders more knowledge. Some examples are vet, farrier, dentist, nutrition and so on. A lot of this learning is centered around what our members need to cover to advance their certificates - however, its also the kind of learning which could save you $$$ or $$$$$ and increase the general welfare of you lovely horse or pony.
Do we ever leave the grounds?
Yes - we often arrange Beach, Forrest, Charing Cross, Treks that members can come to. These usually are a bit social too with a shared lunch or bbq afterward and the usual cold refreshments. These rides are often split into those who need to take it easy right up to those doing fitness training for the Olympics (or similar).
