- Most classes are split into A/B/C across 3 dressage arenas.
- Class start times are given and Riders will complete their dressage in Back Number order. Be there early to ensure the day runs smoothly.
- Riders must begin their Jumping phase within 30 mins of the completion of their dressage test, or if there is any delay in the Jump course; as soon as their height is available (that is.... if we are running late you will not be penalised if you are ready to go).
- Show Jumping & Cross Country will flow in Back Number order across the ABC classes where relevant. If there is any backlog we will take riders from class A first, then the next number from class B, then the next from class C and keep cycling until the class is complete.
- Scoring - this will be online, please be patient with our writers and scorers (these are your parents, friends, helpers) we are all learning a new system; its pretty cool but we are sure there will be some mistakes. So per t&c #4 scores will not be finalised on the day.
- Dressage Writing will be online. Test comments and scores will be available to riders via the apps.
- REMEMBER.... new Back Protector standards; bring your Back Number holder (we will have paper numbers for you at the office); ensure all you gear is safe and compliant before your gear checks.

All inquiries: Contact the Event Secretary via [email protected] no phone calls please. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: 1. The committee reserves the right to alter, delete or combine classes. Entry numbers are limited. Classes will be split based on numbers and then on age groups where practical. 2. Riders understand the intent of the express format event is to offer a shorter course than our full ODE courses (eg. 1-1.5km based on height compared to 2km+). This takes into consideration that riders and horses have not had the benefit of the longer pony club eventing competition season this year as a lead up to our usual challenging courses. We have reduced our entry fees to reflect this change. 3. Dressage is run and scored under the same rules as for ESNZ/NZPCA events. Ordinary Snaffle Bridle for Dressage. SJ is run and scored under the same rules as for ESNZ/NZPCA events. XC is run and scored under the same rules as for ESNZ/NZPCA events. Combined Training add-on options to the Express classes will combine the Dressage and Show Jumping score - riders do not compete again. 4. Overall Scores within Classes will be provided online, after the weekend of the event for the benefit of rider feedback. Dressage score sheets will be scanned and emailed to riders after the event if requested. Overall Class results will be published and Ribbons will also be available to placegetters. Compilation of scores will occur through the event and be posted online. 5. Riders entering all 3 phases - From the completion of your Dressage, you have 30 minutes to start your jumping phases. Riders will complete their SJ, then be sent immediately to the XC marshalling area. Riders should complete their SJ before XC. 6. Jumping phases will not be timed for competition, but excessive time or speed on the course may be deemed as a H&S issue resulting in elimination at officials discretion. 7. Riders enter the event realizing that all 3 phases will be running in view of the other phases at the same time (eg. while you are doing your dressage in the large sand arena, horses will be on the XC and SJ). 8. Gear Checks - safety and compliance gear checks will be completed for 65-80cm Classes for Dressage and then one combined Jumping gear check for 65-95cm classes with spot checks for 105cm classes. 9. Rider Dress for all phases the same as you would for Cross-Country. 10. No formal protests accepted. The intent of this event is to allow riders to train over fabulous courses and receive feedback through scoring. 11.
